I'm curious if one (or *the*) reason why the RNC's bank account is so depleted is because somehow Trump funneled money out of it.

I mean, didn't they agree to pay a lot of his legal bills? We know that ain't cheap, and the hits just keep on coming. Sure, he drove the Republican clown car into a wall, but I would prefer he drove it off a cliff and into the ocean.

“Somehow?” They’ve been paying his legal fees.

Some of his legal fees. I found an article saying they've spent over $2M as of 22 Jul 22 but I didn't see any further updates. I know his PAC has forked over a lot more money than that.

It's not that the RNC is funneling money to Trump. Trump is sucking up all the money for himself and not sharing it out. Billionaire's aren't backing the GOP because right now based not on the polls but special elections for the past 2 years have the Democratic candidates kicking ass on all levels. Unless the GOP can win this next election on 2 out of 3 levels (House, Senate, Presidency) it is highly likely ot go the way of the Whigs and No-Nothings, at least on the Federal level. If they can eke out a victory in the Senate, which is possible as the Senate GOP has not made the blunders of Trump and the House the might survive but will be weakened.

"There are no undecided voters. There is little new to learn about the candidates. There are only activated voters and those who will stay home. Let’s hope that more come out to reject him than to elect him for another term."

Biden recently commented that Trump is the only candidate that he's seen in his lifetime that isn't "for" anything. He's against everything. And I think that in a nutshell is why people aren't going to come out and vote for him in November.

The people voting for Trump aren't voting for HIM. If they're voting at all, it's because they want to annoy Democrats. Granted, a lot of Republicans have been dedicated to that cause for a long time. But it just doesn't feel like enough this time around between two incumbent candidates.

The electorate not paying to attention to how much he’s losing?? And how much he KEEPS losing? And has in fact been a fucking loser his whole life? As a New Yorker that laughed my ass off when he announced his FIRST campaign (the one as a democrat in the mid aughts,) I’m not laughing anymore.

Lord. I don’t know. I think it feels like the wheels are about to fully come off if SCOTUS loses its mind and the media plays this is the Dems fault on the border legislation.

I saw a piece today on MSNBC about the "Poor People's Campaign."

"The Poor People’s Campaign launched a 40-week operation to catalyze the voting power of poor people across the country. Some 7,000 volunteers will be tasked with mobilizing 15 million voters ahead of November’s election, with the first major coordinated actions taking place outside of 30 statehouses on March 2. A 2020 Democratic strategist is also involved. They said that if they could get even a tiny % to vote, it would be enough to determine the election. I'm going to be following this.

I've lived in Michigan my entire life, and I remember when Ronna McDaniel's career first started and she made a HUGE thing about being Ronna ROMNEY McDaniel because her grandfather was so well-liked in Michigan and she wanted to trade on his name. Now she's stopped using it because the Trump cult members hate Mitt Romney. Her lack of principles will never not make me laugh.

Serious question: How the hell does --Tucker Carlson-- get an interview with Vladmir Putin? That is some 4D chess level trolling from Putin's side.

The conspiracy theorist deep inside me keeps trying to push out the idea that Biden caved on so many of the border issues knowing it wouldn't pass because of fuckery by Republicans due to TFG. If the compromises weren't so potentially toxic to him, the rational part of me might even think it was possibly true.
