Santos made a big deal out of the hypocrisy of other House members and their ethical misconduct. Which, as we all know, is not a bug, but a feature of the Republican Party at this point.

That said, I could easily see Santos try to "blow up the House" by airing all their dirty laundry, starting a gossip podcast, and basically preen and feign outrage to anyone who will listen.

Only problem is that his brand is so synonymous with "egregious, pathological liar" that he's pretty easy to dismiss.

A podcast airing out their dirty laundry would be a scarier threat if he'd been in Congress for more than 5 minutes and therefore knows more than the most obvious gossip. Imagine what a long-termer could share, that's a podcast worth listening to!

You would never know what is true and what is he is making up. I mean the more outlandish stuff he spills is probably true, but he is the poster child for liar liar pants on fire, so would be so easy to dismiss him. Now if he was smart (we know he is not) he would come with receipts.

The House GOP majority --who can't get it together long enough to even pass gas decently-- are so threatened by the loss of a single lockstep vote that they'll avoid pushing for the expulsion of an acknowledged thief and fraudster as long as they can.

He should have spent some of that Botox money on properly-fitting jackets. He clearly didn't get the gay fashion gene. The lying is one thing. But the smarmy denials, the "How very dare you?" admonishments when he's questioned by media, make me really hope he does go to jail. Log Cabin Republicans just piss me off so fucking much. Working for a party when so many (most?) members would like nothing more than to ensure you have no protections when it comes to employment, housing, marriage, adoption, spousal benefits, etc., just makes zero sense.

If they don't expel him, I would imagine (maybe?) they would remove him from all committees (maybe they've done that already). My question is: If you're a House member without one single committee assignment, what does your work day consist of? Showing up to vote and that's it?

He's such an obvious con artist/grifter. Something about him reminds me of Andrew Cunanan, and I wonder about his overall mental health. Something aint right there. He seems beyond just run-of-the-mill (fake) Republican in it for the fame and money (ahem, MTG). The easily disproved lies, the grifting to live the high life, all of it. More and more people are realizing that it's so much easier to con the far right, I fear we're going to have even more of these clowns running for office. It's so rarely seen on the Democrat side, that can't be coincidence.

Not only that, he could never be trusted with the good sh*t. He aint got no good dirt. He has zero prospect with OnlyFans either. Dude is going to jail and then obscurity. Thank you, Jehovah!

Supposedly Gaetz is about to get the same treatment but he's too useful a tool (in both senses of the word) for the GOP to get rid of and I bet they brush their hands and say "okay! corruption's taken care of!" after they tell Santos to fuck off.

This fool should have studied Lady Lindsay's playbook. Stick to rentboys and never utter the G word. That's how you gay in the GOP.

Milo Yiannopoulos even declared himself "ex-gay" (and his husband was demoted to his roommate) after he fell out of favor and was raising money for a gay conversion therapy center in Florida, so desperate was he to get back into the far right graces. He even wound up on some far right Catholic QVC-type tv shopping network at some point, selling Virgin Mary statues. And yet, they still wouldn't take him back.

On Santos, it's over when he says it's over, but yet he knows that he'll be expelled....that sure sounds like it's gonna be over when his peers say it's over.

He’s going to jail. If he had any sense he resign. Him talking crap on fellow Republicans made me tired. We all know they suck too. He didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know. Just baffled this man and others are in office.
